INTERNATIONAL TALENT COMPETITION 2011
 

American Protégé is proud to announce the First Annual International Talent Competition 2011. The Competition is open to all nationalities and countries in the following performance categories:

 

 

POINTE

BALLET

CONTEMPORARY

TAP      

LYRICAL

SONG AND DANCE

DRAMA

HIP HOP

MUSICAL THEATER

VOCAL  

OPEN    

FOLK

JAZZ

PRODUCTION

COSTUME AWARD

 

 

Preliminary round: Applicants are requested to participate in audition by submitting video recording (DVD) of their performance. Candidates may choose one of the performance categories - click here.

Selections of the finalists will be based solely on DVDs submitted by applicants.

 

Final round: The final selection of winners will be carried by the panel of judges at the live open to public performance in New York City on the date TBA. The American Protégé International Talent Competition Organizational Committee reserves the rights to amend the date and time of the performance. At the final round contestants could repeat a repertoire submitted on a DVD or choose a new one, but within the same time limit.

 

Chairman of the Talent Competition 2011 will be announced soon.

 

 A number of valuable prizes, trophies, medals, diplomas and special awards will be presented based on judges’ scores.

 

 The following special awards were announced for year 2011:

 

   Outstanding Vocalist Award     Outstanding Costume Award     Top Technique Award

   ● Best Choreography Award          ●  Entertainment Award

     ● Originality Award                      Judges Choice Award

 

The applicants will compete in the following age groups and divisions:

 

AGE GROUPS. Participants will compete in the following age groups:

Children – up to 9 years old

Teens – 10-17 years old

Adults - 18 years old and up

Multiple winners will be announced in each age group

 

DIVISIONS:

Solo

Duet / Trio   (2 or 3 performers)

Small Group  (4 to 8 performers)

Large Group (9 to 18 performers)

Production    (19 and up performers)

 

TIME LIMITS :

solos                ·    3 minutes maximum

duets / trios     ·    5 minutes maximum

large groups     ·    7 minutes maximum

production       ·   10 minutes maximum

 

APPLICATION FEES:

costume entry  ·    $20 per routine

solos                 ·    $80 per person

duets / trios     ·    $60 per person

large groups     ·    $40 per person

production       ·    $40 per person

 

HOW TO APPLY:

For the preliminary round the applicants must submit:

1. DVD video recording. Recordings should be a fair representation of the Contestant's abilities, but need not be professional quality. Recording materials must be labeled.

2. Completed application form

3. Non-refundable application fee. Please make a certified check, money order or international money order payable to American Protégé.

Application materials must be postmarked no later than April 1, 2011

 

Preliminary round judges’ comments will not be disclosed

The DVD/VHS Tape will not be returned

 

List of the finalists will be published on American Protégé web-site no later than April 27, 2011
