American Protégé Music Festival 2009 is opened for instrumentalists
and vocalists from age 4 to 21 in strings, piano, winds, chamber ensembles
and voice of
all nationalities and countries.
Concerts and prize-giving ceremonies will take place at Weill
Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 1:30
pm and Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 1:30 pm and at other venues in New York City on
the dates to be announced.
We want NYC audience to know, hear and see how talents grow in
America and other countries and give to young musicians the
opportunity to perform on the best stages in New York.
Applicants are requested to participate in a tape audition by
submitting an audio or video recording (CD, DVD or VHS tape) of their recent
performance.
Candidates may choose one or more compositions from a standard
repertoire (Baroque,
Classical, Romantic or Contemporary periods).
Application fee:
Non-refundable application fee is $60.00 with a time limit of 5 min.
For music selection over 5 minutes but less than 10 minutes, the
application fee is $120.00
The following documents must be sent to American Protégé :
- Audio/Video recording
- Short biography (education and participation in music
competitions and festivals) and photo in electronic format via
e-mail.
- Completed
 application form.
- Non-refundable application fee. Make check or
international money order payable to American Protégé.
Application deadline - February 1, 2009.
Application materials for entire group of
the chamber ensemble MUST be included in the single envelope.

Judges
comments will not be disclosed.
The
CD/DVD/VHS Tape will not be returned .
Double application is allowed with double fee if applicant
chooses different musical instruments for each application.

Non-refundable recital fee of $170.00
is due after the notification. It includes 4
complimentary
tickets and admission for participant. All performers will receive American Protégé Festival Diplomas
