AMERICAN PROTÉGÉ MUSIC FESTIVAL 2010

The American Protégé Music Festival 2010 is open to all instrumentalists and vocalists  of all nationalities and countries.

Concert will take place on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 8:00PM at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

We want NYC audience to know, hear and see how the talents grow in America and other countries and provide young musicians with an opportunity to perform on the best stages in New York.

Applicants are requested to participate in an audition by submitting a video recording (DVD) of their performance. Candidates may choose one or more compositions from Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Contemporary periods, or Jazz (no Drums). Vocalists can choose one piece from Classical/Folk/Traditional repertoire.

Application fee:

Non-refundable application fee is $60.00 with a time limit of 5 min. For music selection over 5 minutes but less than 10 minutes, the application fee is $120.00

The following documents must be sent to American Protégé by mail:

  1. Video recording (DVD)
  2. Completed application form.
  3. Non-refundable application fee. Make check or international money order payable to American Protégé.

Application materials for entire group of the chamber ensemble MUST be included in the single envelope.

Application materials must be postmarked no later than February 1, 2010

 

  • All contestants must perform from memory. No repeats.
  • Judges comments will not be disclosed
  • The final selection of performers will be based solely on the video recordings submitted
  • Recordings should be a fair representation of the Contestant's abilities, but need not be professional quality. Recording materials must be labeled.
  • The DVD will not be returned.

 

Winners will be notified by e-mail no later than April 15, 2010. Non-refundable recital fee of $170.00 is due after the notification. It includes 4 complimentary tickets and admission for participant. All performers will receive American Protégé Festival Diplomas
